Palmerdell Trust milk their herd of 450 cows on a Waikato Orbit rotary platform which takes about an hour.

The Orbit concrete platform offers smooth, quiet operation and is supported on steel rollers by a well proven sub-structure. The electric drive units require only 1.5Kw and coupled to a variable speed drive provide the flexibility needed to minimise the milking time. A Waikato MilkingSystem is installed onto the platform with the key components being SmartPULS, SmartECR, BailGates and SmartSPRAY.
