After 50 years of milking in their previous shed, Le Lievre felt they were due for a new dairy

Le Lievre Farm in Edgecumbe have recently completed their Supa4 Herringbone shed complete with Waikato Swing Arms. A large amount of automation was added to the system including SmartD-TECT which allows Le Lievre to automatically add their mastitis records through LIC's Protrack to MINDA. "I had a mastitis problem. I know how hard it is myself (to detect and mange mastitis) so I wanted to give my staff the best tools.” The Swing arms at Le Lievre have built in electronic cup removers which make milking even easier! They went with the automation from Waikato Milking Systems because it is mostly New Zealand made.
