A Waikato SmartAir variable speed vacuum pump controller is a highly specialised control system designed to dynamically control the operation of a vacuum pump. Using digital sensors the milking system vacuum is continually monitored and the vacuum pump speed adjusted according to air flow demand. Ideally suited for use with positive displacement vacuum pumps the system not only helps improve milking but saves valuable energy and reduces pump maintenance costs.

Enclosed in a high quality IP65 rated stainless steel lockable cabinet a Waikato SmartAir variable speed vacuum pump controller is supplied with four fixing lugs and is easily mounted onto a wall. The system works by constantly measuring the milking system vacuum level from a point nearest the receiver and adjusting the vacuum pump speed to accurately maintain a pre-set vacuum level. A digital pressure sensor relays a signal to the controller that responds instantly to even the smallest change. Using the latest electronic touch screen technology programming changes can be made easily and quickly. Manual – Milk or Wash mode is selectable.
