Intelligent mastitis detection and control

SmartD-Tect knows which of your cows is developing a mastitis problem and can detect them up to four days before you or your staff will. SmartD-Tect integrates discretely with any milking system. A valuable detection tool SmartD-Tect has proven to help with the early identification of cows with potential to develop a mastitis problem. Developed by Waikato Milking Systems, SmartD-Tect is a clever mastitis detection system installed now with many new installations.

Putting it simply, SmartD-Tect measure the conductivity of each quarter at the beginning of every milking, it then compares this against the threshold values that you have set and alarms if a cow exceeds the pre-set value.

Purchasing SmartD-Tect will enable you and your staff to reliably manage a perennial problem with confidence. If used in a rotary installation SmartD-Tect can be connect via SmartLink to Protrack Vantage and infected animals can then be automatically drafted for inspection and treatment.
